WikiLectures:Author Law

To grow the commons of free knowledge of medical texts, all users contributing to WikiLectures are required to allow the general public to redistribute, reproduce and modify their contributions freely, as long as the use is attributed. Therefore, for any text you hold the copyright to, by submitting it, you agree to license it under the Creative Commons Atribution 3.0 Czech Republic license (hereafter CC-BY 3.0 CZ). Suitable English version of the license is provided. Pictures, images and other files can be released and available under other licenses.

to Remix - to adapt the work

Under the following conditions:

Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).

Waiver — Any of the above conditions can be waived if you get permission from the copyright holder.

Other Rights — In no way are any of the following rights affected by the license:

• Your fair dealing or fair use rights;
• The author's moral rights;
• Rights other persons may have either in the work itself or in how the work is used, such as publicity or privacy rights.

How to use articles from WikiLectures

You are free to copy and distribute parts or whole articles from WikiLectures if you attribute the work as specified in CC-BY 3.0 CZ. You may choose:

1. link or address to the page with the original text;
2. link or address to an available page providing the information about authors;
3. list of all authors and contributors.

Other licences

Some pictures, images or other files can be also available under other licences – especially different Creative Commons licences or public domain. The licence is always specified on the file page.

Contributing to WikiLectures

By saving your contribution you also agree to license it under the CC-BY 3.0 CZ. To be allowed to do this:

• you have to own the rights to the text you want to transfer to WikiLectures or
• the text has to be licenced under CC-BY 3.0 CZ.

Saving an article under CC-BY 3.0 CZ is irreversible, you cannot take it back. However, you still own the right to use and publish your article under any other licence.

Transfering existing materials

Do not violate copyright. It is agains law as well as WikiLectures policy. Remember that copyright protects expresion of an idea, not the idea itself. You are free to refer to literature and other available materials and use exiting articles as an inspiration for your work.

Due to the licence policy it is not allowed to copy articles from Wikipedia and related projects.

An author can also give permisson to use his work in WikiLectures by signing Permission to use the work and sending it to WikiSkripta, 1. lékařská fakulta UK v Praze, Kateřinská 32, 121 08 Praha 2.

It is also possible to use small parts of copyrighted works under the terms defined by law as quotation.

Images

Images can by protected by copyright as well as written texts. Using an image in WikiLectures undergoes the same rules. If uploading an image to WikiLectures, it is possible to choose from more licences. It is recomended to use the CC-BY 3.0 CZ license.

Linking to copyrighted works

It is possible to link to copyrighted material. However, please, do not link to sites violating copyright.

Possible copyright violation

If you find an article you think might be violating copyright, please inform editorial board of WikiLectures via info@wikilectures.eu. Also if you find your work or parts of it in WikiLectures and you didn't approve it, please inform the editorial board.

Prevention

The editorial board of WikiLectures makes effort to prevent users from inserting content against law or WikiLectures policy. User accounts constantly violating the rules might be blocked.
