Classification of sources of ionizing radiation

Concepts

  • Applying expert: A doctor or other medical professional who, within the scope of his qualifications given by special legal regulations, has clinical responsibility for medical radiation. The doctor of the radiodiagnostic department decides on the event. failure to perform an examination associated with medical radiation. The Radiologist has the final say!.
  • Indicating physician: A physician indicating medical radiation according to a special legal regulation.
  • Medical radiation': May be performed only if the benefit outweighs the risk of radiation.

Tests of radiodiagnostic equipment

  • Acceptance tests: when accepting the device, it is carried out by a person with permission SÚJB.
  • Long-term stability tests: 1x per year, performed by a person with permission SÚJB.
  • Operation stability tests: are performed more often, performed by the operator himself.
