Secondary heart tumours

It is a metastatic involvement of the heart:
- No tumor (except malignant melanoma) metastasizes exclusively to the heart,
- cardiac metastases: malignant melanoma, bronchogenic carcinoma, breast cancer,
- clinically: acute pericarditis, cardiac tamponade, rapid enlargement of the cardiac shadow, arrhythmias including atrioventricular block, rapid development of heart failure (but 90% of metastases are clinically silent),
- therapy: main firing: pericardiocentesis for effusion, radiotherapy, chemotherapy.
