Layers of the stomach wall (10. lamina propria mucosae)

The Lamina propria mucosa (from lat.) is a layer of mucosal tissue that is composed of sparse collagenous tissue. In this layer, there may be mucous glands that are characteristic of the respective anatomical area, and it may also contain lymphatic tissue.
