One of the muscles of the lower limb.
Origin: outer edge of tuber calcanei and plantar aponeurosis
Insertion: base of the proximal articular surface of the little finger
Innervation: n. plantaris lateralis (branch from nervus tibialis) (S1–S2)
Function: abduction and slight flexion in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the 5th toe
