A sign of the setting sun

From WikiLectures

Term

A symptom of the setting sun is the deviation of the bulbs caudally. Cranial deviation of the bulb is not possible and the sclera above the upper edge of the cornea is apparently visible. Sometimes the lower edge of the cornea is partially covered by the lid - hence the name. The condition arises from intracranial hypertension and compression of the cranial nerves, the exact etiology is unknown.[1]
