Adenylyl cyclase
From WikiLectures
Adenylyl cyclase is an enzyme, which catalyzes the conversion of ATP to cyclic 3´,5´-adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), which serves as a second messenger. The enzyme is localized in the cell membrane. Its activity is increased by stimulatory G-proteins (Gs) and inhibited by inhibitory G-protein (Gi).
