Advisory and consulting activities of an occupational physician

The occupational doctor should be able to provide advice and consultation to the employer and the company's employees. For the occupational doctor, the knowledge gained during regular inspections of workplaces and health examinations of employees (both carried out by him) is important here.
Areas of interest[edit | edit source]
- issues of work physiology, work psychology, ergonomics , work and rest regime, determination of performance standards and in psychosocial and socioeconomic issues
- design, construction and reconstruction of workplaces and other company facilities
- introduction of new technologies, substances and procedures, in terms of their impact on the living and working environment
- adjustments to jobs, including jobs for employees with a changed work ability
- selection of technical, technological and organizational measures against adverse effects on health
- a proposal for remedial measures in the event of detection of defects that may lead to health damage
