Anomaly of the vestibulum oris[edit | edit source]
- Shallow vestibulum
- Primary shallow vestibulum
- Congenital
- High attachement of mentalis muscle
- Secondary shallow vestibulum
- due to gingival recession (missing of attached gingiva)
- Anomaly in attachement of labial frenulum
- Gingival attachment (normally the attachement is mucosal)
- Papillary attachment
- Through the papilla attachment
PULL SYMPTOM
- The gingiva around the pathological attachment of the frenulum has whitish (pale) colour
PULL SYNDROME
- Follows pull symptom
- Results in opening of the interdental space between the two central incisors (diastema formation)

- Single space --> trema
- Many spaces --> tremata (spacing)
