Arcus tendineus musculi solei

From WikiLectures

Arcus tendineus musculi solei is the tendon arch through which M. soleus begins from the linea musculi solei tibiae. Below it passes n. tibialis together with vasa tibialia posteriora. This anatomical arrangement is of great importance because when standing or walking, it prevents the oppression of the above-mentioned formations during the contraction of m. soleus (m. triceps surae).
