Asepsis

Asepsis means the absence of germs. In practice, asepsis refers to measures and procedures preventing contamination of a sterile environment by microorganisms.
These measures are most often:
- use of sterile instruments,
- ensuring a sterile environment,
- division of workplaces into septic and aseptic parts,
- disinfection and use of protective equipment – mouthpieces, sterile gloves.
