Assessment of total cardiovascular risk

The total cardiovascular risk is determined in patients with the combination risk factors. When multiple risk factors occur, their effect on overall cardiovascular risk multiplies. SCORE tables help us decide on the diagnostic and treatment procedure. The tables make it easier for us to demonstrate the cardiovascular risk to patients for their clarity. We estimate the total cardiovascular risk based on: gender, age, Systolic pressure, smoking habits and total cholesterol or the ratio of total and HDL-cholesterol.
