Cajal cells

The following cell types can be referred to as Cajal cells:
- Interstitial cells of Cajal – cells in the intestinal wall that serve as pacemakers of the autonomic nervous system;
- Cajal-Retzius cells – a population of cells involved in the development of the cerebral cortex.
