Calot's Triangle

From WikiLectures

Calot's triangle (or trigonum cystohepaticum) is a topographical formation in the abdominal cavity.

Boundaries:[edit | edit source]

  • cranially: lobus quadratus hepatis;
  • medially': ductus hepaticus communis;
  • lateral: ductus cysticus.

Calot's triangle contains vasa cystica.

Its clinical significance lies in the fact that during cholecystectomy the a. cystica is ligated and subsequently interrupted.
