- Exposed inferior alveolar nerve
- Cysts
- Osreomyelitis
- Bisphosphonates
- Osteoradionecrosis
- Tumor
- Autoimmune diseases
"Dentulous" Jaw Pain[edit | edit source]
- Reversible pulpitis
- Well localized pain
- Sharp pain upon stimulus, but disappears immediately
- Pain on hot and cold beverages and foods
- Irreversible pulpitis
- NOT well localized pain (can even project in the eye or the ear)
- Pain at night without any particular stimulus
- Dentinal hypersensitivity
- Acute periapical periodontitis
- Percussion pain
