Disorders of embryonic tissue development
From WikiLectures
Disorders of embryonic tissue development are:
- Hamartia – wrong tissue involvement but locally appropriate. An example is pulmonary chondrohamartoma or the formation of skin nevi .
- Choristia – the introduction of tissue during embryonic transfers to places where it does not occur physiologically, e.g. stray glandular areas in the muscle of the intestine (so-called adenomyomas), the cortex of the adrenal gland under the capsule of the kidney , pancreatic tissue under the mucosa of the small intestine ( Saltykov's carcinoid ).
