Dressler's syndrome

Dressler's syndrome is secondary pericarditis (or pleuritis) that occurs with a delay of up to several weeks after a myocardial infarction or heart surgery.
It manifests as a typical pericarditis by chest pain, fever, dyspnea and precordial murmur.
Glucocorticoids are used to treat Dressler's syndrome.
