Dufour effect

Dufour's [read: dyfůr] phenomenon is used to examine the upper limb. It is examined by having the patient hold their forearms with palms up and hold it for 15 seconds with eyes closed. The sign id positive if pronation occurs. If there is no pronation, but a drop of the upper limb in maximum supination, it is usually a simulation.[1]
