In this case, the relevant intellectual qualities are not developed.
Relative school failure[edit | edit source]
It is transient, the causes are extra-intellectual and can be eliminated.
Failure in a specific subject[edit | edit source]
Classification ranging from level 4-5.
Student problems in class[edit | edit source]
- Does not understand the explanation,
- Cannot work with textbooks and other texts,
- Does not take notes according to the explanation,
- cannot determine what is essential,
- cannot concentrate,
- is repeatedly disturbed by classmates.
Problems with homework[edit | edit source]
- Problems with homework most often lead to:
- Weak willpower (cannot bring himself to do homework),
- Lack of habits for self-study (cannot select the important ones, learns by rote without understanding the material, cannot handle larger units, does not have a learning system),
- does not know when to learn in order to learn effectively,
- communication problems with the teacher,
- fear of the teacher,
- fear of communicating that they do not understand something,
- not knowing the rules of consultation with the teacher of the problem subject.
Other problems negatively affecting learning[edit | edit source]
- Long-term health problems,
- change of residence, commuting,
- problems of pupils staying in a youth home,
- family problems (parents' separation, poor economic situation of the family),
- problems in partner relationships,
- problems with sexual orientation,
- stress from failure to thrive,
- running away from problems,
- problems in the social environment of peers.
School failure is usually polycausal[edit | edit source]

- biological-psychological,
- intrapsychic.
