The foramen sciaticum majus is the opening leading from the pelvis between the ligamentum sacrotuberale (dorsal and medial boundaries), the ligamentum sacrospinale (caudal boundaries) and the incisura ischiadica major ossis coxae (ventral and lateral boundaries).
