Frequency

Frequency is a parameter of an oscillation or wave that characterizes its temporal periodicity. It is numerically equal to the number of periods that occur per unit time. The unit of frequency is Hertz (Hz), the physical dimension is s-1. The duration of a beat, period T, is related to frequency as follows:
