Goodsall's rule
From WikiLectures
Goodsall's rule describes the location of the internal and external orifices of the perianal fistulae. If the external orifice is above the transverse line running through the anus ( linea canalis analis transversalis ) ventrally, the internal orifice is located radially on the same ray. If the external orifice is dorsal to the transverse line, the internal orifice is located in the midline posteriorly (at No. 6 according to the watch). It should be noted that it does not apply absolutely. [1]
