Hyaline
From WikiLectures
Hyaline is a structureless eosinophilic mass of various composition and origin, with a macroscopic vitreous appearance. Its bearings resemble cartilage. It stains the same as collagen – pink in HE, blue in blue trichrome.
Hyaline can be found extracellularly (hyaline dystrophy) or intracellularly (hyaline ossification). Physiologically, it is found in the corpus luteum of the ovaries. It is often found in scars and in chronic inflammations.
