Intropia
From WikiLectures
Inotropy (or also inotropism) is an effect on the strength of muscle contraction, it usually affects the heart muscle. Positive inotropy means increased muscle contraction (eg increased activity of the sympathetic system has a positive inotropic effect on the heart), negative inotropy means decreased strength of muscle contraction (eg increased activity of the parasympathetic nervous system has a negative inotropic effect on the heart).
The main representative of positively inotropic drugs is digoxin.
