Laryngeal Mask/School (Nurse)
From WikiLectures
Kombitubus is a double-luminary tube, used as an aid to secure the respiratory tract intended for non-physicians and physicians who cannot perform endotracheal intubation.
- The tube is inserted "blindly" through the oral cavity, it is supposed to be inserted into the esophagus. Two obturation cuffs must be inflated. One is used for obturation esophagus and the other for obturation pharynx. The combitube then enables artificial pulmonary ventilation to be carried out as needed.
