Lymph Nodes and Collectors of Testis

Testis[edit | edit source]

Lymphatic vessels form a rich network in the interstitium and in the deep vascular layer of the tunica albuginea. Another plexus is formed on the surface of the testicle under the periorchium. Several collecting lymphatic trunks run in the spermatic cord and leave the testicle in four to six collectors, which accompany the blood vessels (vasa testicularia) and lead to the lymph nodes in the lumbar region, nodi lymphatici lumbales .
