Musculus extensor pollicis longus

Posterior surface of the forearm. Deep muscles. Extensor pollicis longus muscle is labeled in purple.

Beginning: the back of the ulna.

Tendon: distal article of the thumb.

Innervation: nervus radialis (ramus profundus).

Function: extension of the thumb.
