Organic psychosyndrome

Organic psychosyndrome is a non-specific and now obsolete term for a mental disorder due to organic causes. There is an effort to specify this diagnosis more deeply [1]. More recently, it is called a prefrontal syndrome.
Factors causing organic psychosyndrome [1][edit | edit source]
- degenerative;
- vascular;
- metabolic;
- toxic;
- trauma;
- tumor.
Symptoms of an organic psychosyndrome [1][edit | edit source]
- memory, concentration and attention disorders;
- slowed psychomotor pace;
- affective disorders;
- emotional and depressive disorders;
- personality changes.
