Panaritium

Purulent inflammation of the soft tissues of the finger, which can spread to the subcutaneous tissue and affect the tendon sheaths, or even the phalanx bones. Paronychium is a similar process that affects the nail bed, it arises in connection with trauma (stabbing by a splinter, thorn, etc.).
