Penetration
From WikiLectures
Penetration is the degree of agreement between a genotype and the expected phenotype. Genotype does not always clearly determine phenotype.
According to the degree of manifestation, we distinguish between incomplete penetrance (in individuals with a certain genotype, we find the corresponding phenotypic manifestation in only some individuals) and complete penetrance (in individuals with a certain genotype, we find the corresponding phenotypic manifestation in all individuals). We use percentages to express the degree of penetration.
