Phenol red

Phenol red is an acid-base indicator with a transition region between pH 6.8–8.4. It is used in acid-base titrations . Phenol red coloring relatively sensitively reflects pH changes in the area close to the physiological environment, therefore this indicator is also added, for example, to media used for cell cultivation.
