Platelet granules

Platelet granules are found in the cytoplasm of platelets. Platelets contain 2 types granules:
- Dense granules – contain ATP, ADP, Ca2+, serotonin.
- α-granules – contain a mixture of proteins (platelet factor 4, platelet-derived growth factor, fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor or coagulation factor V).
