Réaumur temperature scale

Réaumur temperature scale is a historical temperature scale introduced in 1730 by the French naturalist René Réaumur. It was still used in the Czech lands in the 1930s. It uses the same reference points as the Celsius temperature scale, i.e. the melting and freezing point of water at normal atmospheric pressure. Compared to the Celsius scale, however, it divides this interval into eighty parts. This makes the conversion between the Réaumur and Celsius scale values very simple:
