Sodium dodecyl sulfate
From WikiLectures
Sodium dodecyl sulfate, also sodium lauroyl sulfate, is an anionic surfactant . We can say that it is the most widely used surfactant in biochemistry, molecular biology and chemistry in general (it is also used as part of most common household and industrial detergents and detergents). The 12-carbon non-polar chain is terminated by a negatively charged sulfate group.
