Stankus touch
From WikiLectures
Stankuš's touch is used after spontaneous birth to expel excess fluid from the newborn's lungs or after caesarean section to express it.
How is this palpation performed?[edit | edit source]
Place the newborn on the forearm. With the other hand, we tilt his head slightly and let the excess lung fluid drain away. This will help the newborn to clear his airways.
