Supraclavicular murmur

It is a systolic functional heart murmur. He is physiological and innocent. It occurs in school-age children and young adults[1]. It is formed by the swirling of blood when the truncus brachiocephalicus separates from the aortic arch.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Very short, quiet, crescendo-decrescendant character. [1] The listening maximum is above the clavicles, especially on the right. It changes with position and is best heard sitting with your hands folded in your lap.
