Systemic inflammatory response syndrome

A systemic inflammatory response of the organism [1] (SIRS, systemic inflammatory response syndrome) indicates a condition characterized by two or more of the following criteria at rest:
- temperature above 38 ° C or below 36 ° C;
- heart rate above 90/min;
- respiratory rate above 20/min or CO2 below 32 mmHg;
- leukocytes over 12 thousand / µl or below 4 thousand / µl or more than 10% of immature forms.
