The Eames test
From WikiLectures
The Eames test is used to determine the plasticity period of amalgam. After mixing, the amalgam is divided into 4 parts and left to rest for 2.5 minutes. After 2.5 minutes, it is combined and mixed for 2 seconds, then divided again into 4 parts and left alone for 30 seconds. The procedure is repeated every 30 seconds until the moment when the individual pieces no longer come together during mixing.
