Tinel's sign

Tinel's sign refers to the phenomenon when, when tapping on a regenerating nerve trunk, feelings of paresthesia occur in the range of innervation of this trunk. Paresthesia itself can be considered a sign of ongoing regeneration. Tinel's syndrome, on the other hand, is a name for carpal tunnel syndrome.
