Trapezius

- Beginning: processus spinosi Th1–Th12, protuberantia occipitalis externa, processus spinosi C2–C7 via the septum nuchae.
- Attachment: lateral part of clavicula, acromion and spina scapulae.
- Innervation: n. accessorius (XI. cranial), plexus cervicalis.
- Function: fixation and stabilization of the scapula (shoulders back), is a synergist of the serratus anterior muscle, head and spine tilt, head tilt, shoulder lift, arm lift above the horizontal.
