Trigonum deltoideopectorale
From WikiLectures
Trigonum deltoideopectorale or trigonum clavipectorale or fossa Mohrenheimi is a triangular landscape below the clavicle, the base of which is oriented cranially, the apex caudally, continues in the groove between m. deltoideus and m. pectoralis major (sulcus deltoideopectoralis), in which the v. cephalica runs.
Boundary[edit | edit source]
- cranially: clavicula;
- laterally: m. deltoideus;
- medially: m. pectoralis major;
- bottom: superficially, the transition of the fascia pectoralis superficialis in the fascia deltoidea, in the depth of the fascia clavipectoralis and m. pectoralis minor, which is attached to the fascia.
Contents[edit | edit source]
- v. cephalica – flows into v. axillaris;
- a. and v. thoracoacromialis – from a. axillaris, or to v. axillaris;
- nn. pectorales (med. et lat.) – from pars supraclavicularis plexus brachialis.
Communication[edit | edit source]
Trigonum deltoideopectorale communicates with the axillary opening in the clavipectoral fascia (fossa ovalis infraclavicularis), through which the v. cephalica and the vasa thoracoacromialia run.
