Trigonum scalenovertebrale

Trigonum scalenovertebrale is a topographic formation in the neck region from the regio cervicalis lateralis group.
Boundaries[edit | edit source]
- medially: m. longus colli
- laterally: m. scalenus anterior
- caudally: cupula pleurae
- ventrally: m. sternocleidomastoid
Contents[edit | edit source]
- v. subclavia - connection with internal jugular vein
- a. subclavia - gives off most of its branches here
- ductus thoracicus - its final section, which turns from back to front and opens here into the angulus venosus sinister (left)
- angulus venosus sinister, dexter
- truncus brachiocephalicus - on the right side
- ductus lymphaticus dexter
- n. vagus - goes in the groove between the common carotid artery and the internal jugular vein and later is placed between the subclavian artery and vein
- n. phrenicus - laterally from the vagus nerve
- truncus sympathicus - located deepest and most medially, taken into the lamina profunda fasciae cervicalis
- ganglion stellatum - located in front of the vertebral artery and above the first rib
