Two-time two-phase imprint
From WikiLectures
Other names for this imprinting technique are: double imprinting method, correction imprint.
Two-time two-phase imprint (correction) A two-stroke two-phase imprint is so named because the imprinting is performed twice (each time the mass is in a different consistency – phase).
- The first imprinting is performed with an impression compound of putty consistency (solid, heavy, putty types).
- The second imprinting is performed with an impression compound of the consistency of a thin cream (light, body, wash).
Between the first and second impressions, the first impression must be adjusted so that a second impression can be made on it. Adjustment consists of removing sub-securvatures, creating drainage grooves and shortening the edges.
