Urticaria

Urticaria (hives) is the most common manifestation of the allergy of the first type:
It is based on a number of physical, chemical and other factors and also can be a sign of vasculitis.
Clinical picture[edit | edit source]
Local or generalized skin rashes occur with itchy central edema and peripheral erythema.
Acute manifestations occur within a few hours after the allergen exposure, it can be associated with angioedema.
Therapy[edit | edit source]
P.o. application of the antihistamine drugs, local medication which reduce itching, in case of more significant acute manifestations also adrenaline or glucocorticoids.
