Virion

A Virion is a basic virus particle capable of infecting a host cell. It consists of a geneophore ( nucleic acid ) and a protein. It reaches dimensions of 20-300 nm, exceptionally 450 nm. Some virions are enveloped by a phospholipid membrane (eg in HIV ).
