Whitlow

Whitflow also known as Panaricium (in latin) purulent inflammation of the soft tissues of the finger, which can spread to the subcutaneous tissue and affect the tendon sheaths, or even the phalanx bones. Paronychia is a similar process that affects thenail bed, it arises in connection with trauma (stabbing by a splinter, thorn, etc.).
