X-rays/Catalog of methods in biophysics
From WikiLectures
< X-rays
X-rays are electromagnetic waves that travel through space at the speed of light. Energy transfer occurs discontinuously in elementary energy quanta - photons.
X-rays used in diagnostics have a wavelength in the range of 1 to 50 nm (compared to light, x-rays have a wavelength about 10,000 times shorter and therefore proportionally more energy).
