Uterine leiomyoma, H&E

Leiomyoma (often just myoma) is a benign tumor histogenetically arising from smooth muscle cells. It usually appears in the wall of the uterus, gastrointestinal tract, and bladder. reversal is exceptional, the risk of malignancy is comparable to healthy tissue.
