Anterior Cervical Triangle

From WikiLectures

Trigonum cervicale anterius, another name for regio cervicalis anterior, is the unpaired anterior cervical region.

Delimitations:[edit | edit source]

  • cranially – mandible;
  • laterally – mm.sternocleidomastoidei;
  • caudally – incisura jugularis sterni;
  • ventrally – covered by platysma.

Other topographic areas are part of the landscape. These include the trigonum submentale, trigonum submandibulare, trigonum omotracheale, trigonum caroticum, regio sternoceidomastoidea, and the deep trigonum scalenovertebrale. All the structures that we find in these areas are also the content of the anterior cervical landscape.
