Classification of otitis media

We distinguish between inflammations:
- purulent and non-purulent ;
- acute and chronic .Acute otitis media-exudate arches the membrane laterally
The basic 4 types of mesotitids are:
- acute tubotympanic catarrh (catarrhus tubae auditivae acutus, hydrotympanum);
- chronic tubotympanic catarrh (catarrhus tubotympanalis chronicus, secretory mesotitis, otitis media secretorica - OMS, glue ear);
- acute purulent mesotitis (otitis media suppurativa acute, otitis media acute - OMA)
- chronic purulent mesotitis (otitis media suppurativa chronica, otitis media chronica)
